Selection process:
* Physical Quality Test (PST)
* Physical Aptitude Test (PET)
* Written Test
- Candidates whose applications have always been proven to be correct must take the Physical Quality Test (PST) and the Physical Aptitude Test (PET).
- If a candidate is found to have any physical deformity that can be detected by the medical officer present at the DLSC, he or she will be excluded from taking another examination.
Verifying Documents:
- All original documents including a set of photostat copies of the document will be verified before appearing in PST and PET according to the eligibility criteria given to the candidates.
- Rejected candidates will be given a rejection slip specifying the reason for rejection.
- In order to avoid duplication of documents at a later stage, during PLST / PET, the chairman or member of the DLSC shall keep his / her signature on each copy of this national document; Especially the color certificate and any other document that carries marks against extra-curricular activities and special skills.
Physical Quality Test (PST):
- After the documents prove correct, the candidates will have to appear in the PST (Physical Standard Test).
- It will carry no sign.
- Candidates' height, weight and chest (men only) will be measured using the latest technology and will then be examined by the Medical Officer for the initial check up of the examination:
* Knock knee
* Vision test
* Colour blindness test
* Flat feet
* Permanently enlarged vein
Physical deformities etc.
- Once the candidate clears the PST, he/she will have to appear in the PET (Physical Proficiency Test).
Physical Aptitude Test (PET):
- The physical ability test will carry the number 40.
- CCTV will be installed to record every event of each candidate's PST and PET. Performance can also be announced through the PA system.
- A bio-metric recording will be done to identify all the candidates.
- When a candidate fails to qualify for an event during PST or PET, he / she is excluded from the recruitment process. Any candidate has to take PET as per DLSC decision.
- Separate statement of the candidate's signature marks and the officer conducting the race / test will be shown to the candidates.
- The candidate will be given a rejection slip when he or she is excluded from a particular test.
- Symbols for extra-curricular activities and special skills will not be announced immediately as this may involve further verification of information.
- PST and PET results will be displayed locally at the end of each day of the test.
- After the completion of PST and PET for all the candidates, the district-wise merit list for each category (Non-OBC / MOBC, SC, ST (P), ST (H) for both men and women) will be prepared on the basis of the total marks obtained in PET.
- Candidates will be called for written test on the basis of the multiplication rate (five) of the allotted posts in each category. If the total number of eligible candidates is five times less than the number of candidates, all the eligible candidates, but no one else will be called for the written exam.
- It has 2 (two) events such as:
* Male candidates:
A) Race: Those who qualify in the PST will race 1.2 km in 5.25 minutes (5 seconds).
B) Long jump: A minimum of 3 cm for the long jump (three chances are possible and the longest legitimate jump will be considered for the prize by rounding to the nearest cm).

* Female candidates:
A) Race: Those who qualify in the PST must have 1600 meters. The race will be finished in 08 minutes.
B) Long jump: A minimum jump of 244 centimetres for a long jump (3 chances are possible and the longest legitimate jump will be considered for the prize by rounding to the nearest cm).
Written Test:
- The written test will have 100 multiple choice questions to answer in an OMR answer sheet. - For each correct answer the candidate will get half number.
Questions will be of the level of class IX and X.
- The total number of written tests will be 50.
- There will be no negative markings.
- One day written examination will be conducted at each district headquarters across the state.
Extra-curricular activities and special skills:
- Candidates will get up to 10 numbers under this category.
- Marks will be awarded according to his or her additional merits or qualifications.
